    Artist description
Thanks to the mastery of his splendid voice Raymond Wright is often compared to great artists among which Luther Vandross, Beres Hammond, Luciano, Barry White, Maxwell, just to name some of them. "While the world continues - Raymond says - I know at the end that it would be simple for the whole humanity to be in peace with everyone and there is an unstoppable strength in my soul to look for a better place, while life continues there are still many places, people and moments of inspiration from which to learn something. Jah gives us a simple but right word in profound situations and so the greatest part of the songs that I have written are born. The love for my children helps me to really maintain the music full of love and education. "Point Black" has to be for the liberation of the women of Afganistan and all the children of the world that need a better place."

    Artist History
Raymond Wright was born in Kingston, Jamaica in the first 70's and started to be a musician since his first years of life. Raymond possesses a true musical talent: in addition to his silky voice he plays drums, guitar, bass and keyboards. Raymond joined the Shocking Vibes Crew in 1998 and he has been engaged in varied situations with the group of Beenie Man. He exhibited at the "Shocking Vibes Family Fun Day" at the Crystal Springs in Portland, at Park Way Inn of Ocho Rios, at the "Red Label Wine Superstar Song Competition Finals" at the Countryside Club in Kingston. Under the guide of the Shocking Vibes, Raymond has commercialized a lot of songs that have all been welcomed from the local market. Among these we find "To H.I.M.", "When you call on me", "Just for love", "Always" a duet with Twiggy from the same label, "All the love", "I'll take you there" and "Critic highway". He made many experiences live, in studio, or in friendship with Sly Dunbar, Jack Radics, Fitzroy McKenzy, Piranna and Corn Stick. At his arrival in Italy in 2001, Raymond, meets the tireless Steve Giant that brings him to know Realize, the reggae band that has just released the first official album "Ciņ che č stato fatto" (alma music / Rasta Snob Records). In 2002 Raymond with his songs and Realize as musical support, have realized together "Point Black" a cd for Rasta Snob Records, the first record that synthesizes the long career of Raymond.
