Artist description
A. Hainus:
Now this is an artist,
What more could you ask for in an artist then what is available in Hainus. Born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI Hainus spent most of his free time mastering his artistic persuasive and rythematic musical skills. When listening to Hainus you realize what black music has been lacking for a long time, someone who has Soul, Truth, Loyalty, and has mastered the English language.
Hainus will touch topics that will chill your soul with his distinctive use of words in one song while reminding you of the daily tasks that contribute to a male female relationship in another.
This is not another artist providing you with music that is undistinguishable in today’s lack of creativity in the rap game. Through previous albums Hainus has learned to hone his skills in the vocal and tone department. The way he uses his voice is outstanding. You will find yourself looking on the back of the C D case wondering who was featured on the last song to find out he was the individual who did all three verses and the courses.
Hainus was perusing his music career in Atlanta, GA for about a year when he decided Atlanta wasn’t the right environment for him so he returned to his hometown of Kalamazoo, MI. A lot was accomplished while in Atlanta, a album was produced titled “outerbody experience” that the Atlanta consumers were very receptive to selling thousands of copies in Alanta, GA and Kalamazoo, MI and multiple packed performances. But it was time to start over, go home and reformat the strategy to break fully into the industry thus Merk Records was constructed.
B. Skitzo
Skitzo is an amazing indivgual with much depth. Skitzo begin to get the urge to rap in the 4th grade. “I was rapping but I wasn’t really rapping”. As years went by his talent and level of ability accelerated at a rapid pace. Even as a child he always loved to read. Some of his inspirations were and are Donald Goiens, Bobby Seal, Fredrick Douglas, John Singelton, Muhammad Ali, Picasso, and Tu Pac. Born in Flint, MI but Raised in Kalamazoo, MI. His major influence has been the Midwest flavor.
Skitzo made his debut on wax on Hainus freshman album titled “Mo Drama”. On the title track Skitzo showed the world his amazing abilities. Prior to this album, Skitzo made his name smashing mc’s in blaze contest’s in Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Detroit. Skitzo has a hard voice most of the time but can alter his voice to meet the needs of any song. He has every area on lock delivery, voice, metaphors, freestyles and everything else. Believe me when I say he earned the name.
C. QuickDraw
QuickDraw, A.K.A. Nice, Government: Ituha. Born in Grand Rapids, MI and Raised in Bronx, NY QuickDraw found his urge to rap at a young age watching his older brother lay nasty tracks with his crew. QuickDraw begun to take his musical carrer seriously just prior to moving to Kalamazoo, MI to live with his cousin Tim Dinkins (CEO Merk Records). To watch this man on a daily basis is amazing, not 5 minutes goes by with out him freestyleing or rehersing a new rap created recently. QuickDraw will spend hours with his face 2-3” from a wall rapping “ when I rap towards the wall I can hear my voice reflect, that way I know what the people hear”. He has a east coast style, but while at Merk Records working with other artist has inspired him to increase his diversity. These days QuickDraw will approach the producer from time to time and ask the producer to give him a beat the producer feels dosent fit him, or completely opposite of his style, and without a doubt he creates a song fit for any album when doing this. Born the son of a Model, QuickDraw has inherited his father’s looks and gets along with the camera alarmingly well.
