Artist History Marc Martino Born December 12th, 1966- Buffalo, NY Marc began his music education at the age of 4 playing an electric organ in Joliet, Illinois. He soon was singing and playing piano at grammar school in Illinois and when his family moved to New York in 1977 he took up drums as well as choir and doing plays. The drum section he played in was so good they were asked to play a local restaurant opening in Yonkers. He was the lead male singer in his 5th and 6th grade choirs and a lead player in the theater productions. When 7th grade hit, music took a backseat to being a teen and sports till the end of High School. Music was still important, but he was a very avid listener to everything. In 1986 he met 3 people whom set him back on the music track; playing keys, singing and writing for the first time. He played Sarah Lawrence College in 1987 in front of 200 people with a 3 piece band. This lead to his move to LA and music school at the Grove School of music. Marc spent the next 8 years in numerous bands and improving his musical talents. This included playing some clubs in LA, doing the music for a PSA commercial, the soundtracks for 2 movie product reels, being the featured music in a Beverly Hills fashion show and several songwriting projects. In October 1996, Marc moved back to New York and began working at Soundtrack Music Group in Manhattan. He started as an intern and after 5 months was given an engineering position. He was recording commercial production voiceovers and engineered the sound, including foley for a big NY film school production called “MEAT”. He put his heart and soul into his work at Soundtrack but nothing materialized so in December of 1997 he parted ways with the Soundtrack Group. He has since then been writing new music and working with a gifted female vocalist/writer producing and recording a cd of his collection of music.
