    Artist History
Falling Red is a recording project formed out of the need to spread God's word through our mutual God given gift, music. The 3 piece project came together in the Spring of 2002 when long time musical friends Danny Wasson and Adam Brannon decided it was time to give back to the Lord and create original compositions in His name. They had been in many groups together over the 15+ years they had known each other, normally playing locally in San Diego in various Top40 club bands. There biggest claim to (almost) fame was playing together in the band 'The Rock' from 1986 through 1994. 'The Rock' managed decent local popularity by placing 2nd in San Diego's RockWars '86 and semi-finalists in RockWars '89, with 3 record labels in hot pursuit. They also opened for such artists as Richard Marx, The Outfield, John Cafferty and Steppenwolf, just to name a few. The years rolled by and Danny was the first of the two to dedicate his musical ventures to Christ. Adam participated in some of the recordings by playing and producing some of the songs Danny and his band were writing. It wasn't until late 2001 that Adam finally realized that God was calling him to do something more than entertain lost souls in the bar scene. Adam and Danny hooked up and started writing what would become 'Forward', based on events going on in both of their lives and the need for recovery. Falling Red was born. The name, strangely enough, was given to us by God via a random name generating website. The name stands for the blood of Jesus, which fell from the wounds in His forehead from the crown of thorns, as He died on the Cross to forgive us all our sins. This also explains our logo. Danny and Adam started laying down the initial tracks for 'Forward' in February 2002. Almost everything was in place, the musicians, the music, the equipment to record on (Adam's own digital home studio), the vision, God's direction....wait a minute!!! Who's going to sing this stuff?? The search was on. They needed a vocalist to capture the essence of the messages being writen. Enter, Julie Coffman. A testimony to God's awesome ability to come out of nowhere!! Danny happened to be meeting a friend for lunch one afternoon. The friend wasn't alone. When Danny arrived, he was introduced to Julie, a fellow Christian who, herself, was going through some very trying times. As the lunch progressed, the subject turned to music. Danny told of the project he was involved in and that he was looking for a singer, and if either one of them knew of anyone, to let him know. Julie instantly perked up and mentioned that she sang and had been for years. At that point, Danny invited her to come to a recording session and audition for the spot, never once hearing her sing. The day she auditioned, she walked in, was handed the words for 'Forward' and was played the music tracks while coached on the basic structure of the song. What happened after that was God's truly awesome hand on things. The vocal track that is heard on 'Forward' is primarily the original takes recorded during the audition. Needless to say, auditions were over and Julie became the third piece in the "trinity" that makes Falling Red. Was Danny meeting Julie a fluke, a mere coincidence? I think not!! God knew what he was doing when He brought the three of them together. Their vision is to create appealing music enjoyed by all while also spreading the message that no matter what happens in life, that God is there and can mend all. Falling Red is here to shout to the world that God is great!!

******The song (Lonely, No More) touched the very essence of being with the Lord. That through hard times, Jesus will be there and will not leave you. - Nicole Bradley, Vocalist, North Park Baptist Church, San Diego CA ******It (Forward) sounds like a soundtrack to a movie! What great travel music. - Aimee Cline, Vocalist, North Park Baptist Church, San Diego CA ******'Forward' has the easy ability to bring me from a place of doubt and fear to a place of hope and confidence. 'Lonely, No More' connects with real life and leaves me feeling I can move on in the world with a positive attitude, no matter what. - Chris Holland, Christian music listener
