Artist History
Russ Clarke started his music career in high school writing songs and playing guitar with his local Rock Band while at the same time playing Tenor Banjo in a small Dixieland group. After high school, Russ got involved in his Dads Boston based booking agency and worked with a number of Boston based General Business bands while working as an agent in his Dads business.
In 1989, Russ moved to Maryland and joined forces with a Baltimore based country band, Jason Kane & Wild Country. Jason and Russ wrote a number of country songs during a five-year period traveling the country scene between Nashville and Pennsylvania. During this time Jason Kane & Wild Country won a number of battle of the bands competitions and opened shows for top name Nashville acts.
By 1996 things hadn’t progressed to a point of satisfaction for Russ and he retired from Jason Kane & Wild Country. At this point, Russ started concentrating on becoming more of a lead vocalist. His wife and he started a karaoke company and got involved in recording. Since 1996 Russ has been doing studio work, live fill in work and of course fronting Karaoke shows as well.
United We Stand is the first CD Russ has been released on since his cooperative effort with Jason Kane.
