Artist description
Rock! Hard! Fun!!!
When asked about the concept for the band
"NO FUN" and their first CD, "Intended", the two
founding members say, "If there is a "concept"
or a "theme" then it would have to be sarcasm",
says David. "...if you say youre just being
sarcastic, then no one is really sure where you re
coming from. We dont ever want to be painted
into a corner. Somebody will always think they
know what we mean but they can t. So if we ever
try to tell you what to think about something...
immediately assume that we re too stupid to pay
any attention to" continues David. "The last thing
we want is to be taken seriously…especially
by our fans" adds Brian. "We ve always done our
own thing…no matter what the fallout. We ve dealt
with the negativity about what our aspirations
are…from all sides, including our families. We
use it all to our creative advantage. Combining
our experiences gives us exponentially more to
work with." said David. |

spent most of his time behind the scenes,
he s been playing guitar and writing for most of
his life. David and Brian, now in their early
thirties, live in St. Petersburg. Bass player
Idzi, was asked to record with the
duo in May of 2002. Baltimore based drummer Billy Smith,

Press Reviews
The live show has been described as a cross
between the playful stage theatrics of the band
"The Tubes", the live energy of the "Mighty
Bostones" and No Funs own uniquely raw yet
powerful sound. "We want everyone to have fun.
We want them to say…"I can t believe they just
did that!" and then laugh or just fall
down…all while their eyes and ears are on fire"
says Brian. The opening number is something to
behold. "It took a while for David to design my
"Flashbulb Suit", but it works pretty well...now"
laughs Brian. "Yeah, we opened the first few
shows with the "Beta" version and we had a
little overheating problem with the batteries",
David explains. "I caught fire!" exclaims Brian.
"Yeah but it looked really cool!" notes David. |
