    Artist History
Fire Engine Red formed in Pittsburgh, PA, in 1989, cycling through many different members and under insane chaotic circumstances (a drummer who tried to murder them, etc). They formed a solid line-up after relocating to Hollywood, California in 1992, and began playing all the dives: Al's Bar, Bob's Frolic 3, Hell's Gate, Troy Cafe, and Eagle's Cafe. After a couple years of paying their dues and refusing to pay-to-play, the foursome started landing gigs at the bigger clubs and building a following at Club Lingerie, The Whiskey A-Go-Go, and the Coconut Teaser. After a slew of life changing miracles, founding members Tim and Donna became born-again Christians and reemerged totally changed. Their music went from hopeless caterwauling about empty hedonistic lifestyles to passionately sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His free gift of salvation. Hollywood members Eric and Nigel stuck with the band after the change for nearly six months before leaving. God quickly provided new bassist Kevin, a close friend who learned bass for the act, and drummer Paul, who eventually left to form his own band, Sampo. They soon picked up Tim C. on the drums, a friend from the Children of the Consuming Fire. The Reds began playing new clubs as most venues didn't accept their new faith. No Future Cafe in Pasadena became their favorite venue. Fire Engine Red began playing big shows up and down the California coast constantly. The Reds recorded their third album, "Change," at Moonsong Studio, with the legendary Bob Moon at the board. After a year long hiatus from gigging, Tim and Donna had two babies and are just now beginning to play out again. A new album is brewing with a slew of great songs, so stay tuned!
