Artist description
Verity, is among the best of South Africas freshest
talent in the field of singing and songwriting. Her ability to take on a wide diversity
of musical projects is a direct result of her years of classical piano and voice training,
and her extensive studies and travels that have exposed her to life changing
experiences that in turn feed her writing and artistic expression.
Verity has kept abreast of the changes in commercial music over the past 7 years,
writing in different styles varying from pop to rap to dance and continuing to develop
her vocal range in genres that vary from jazz and opera. As a result she is
a songwriter and singer who is versatile and accomplished in many areas of music.
Her strength lies in her creative ability to translate personal or observed experiences
into powerful songs, both lyrically, musically and vocally. She is well known for her prolific and diverse writing style and her ability to convey intense and inspiring
emotions in her singing.
Veritys style is a mixture of emotive and intriguing lyrics, strong, hooky melodies
and powerfully intense vocals. She melds traditional instruments with contemporary sounds in creating her arrangements, and arrives at finished songs that are unique
yet commercially appealing. Her magnetic on-stage presence sees her audience left spellbound and moved - both by her songs and by her as an artist.
