Artist History
The idea of the band arises in Sto Domingo, Dominican Rep.
in the middle of the 1999, when Carlos Vásquez
and Javish Soriano decides to form a group.
In the beginning they didnt have a genre defined,
since both had very different musical influences.
Those influences of Carlos were the Death Metal
and the Thrash Metal and Javish Metal was influenced
by Power Metal and the Progressive Metal. In the
end these were agreed and managed to create a style
that they called "Death Progresivo Trashiao".
In the beginnings of the 2000 their first compositions
was already done so for his reason why they decided
to look for musicians to conform the band. As the
bass player entered Rafael Richarson and also entered
Darlin Castro as the singer(who offered himself for this position).
Later Joel Rodríguez entered band as drummer... the first line up of
the band were complete and begin his first practices. At the end of
the 2000 Rafael Richarson and Darlin Castro retire of the band both
by musical differences, leaving Carlos as vocal and taking the bass
Moisés Peralta (1980-2002) guitarist from Moonrise in that time who
decides to help to the group in its practices. Thus already formed
the second line up which did not last long time by the fact that
Carlos had difficulty singing and playing the guitar simultaneously,
Javish suggested looked for another singer, is then where Jonathan
Almonte and the Omar Ulloa as our official bass player. So this is
how become the third line up of the group, decide to be called Sapiens
by the message that they try to transmit in their songss. At the end of
the 2001 the band begins to appear in little concerts and to show their
identity like group. In the begginings of the 2002 Omar decides to leave
the group and enters Wilson Acosta to occupy his place resulting this
the fourth line up line up which did not last long because Carlos Vásquez
decided to leave the grouping by personal problems outside which it was the
band. When seeing themselft in this situation the group resorts to Omar Ulloa
which with pleasure return to take its position and Wilson Acosta didnt have
any problems of taking the position of guitarist completing fifth line up of
the band. |
