An 2000, le TERRIBLE virus SCRUB TYPHUS a subi d'incroyables mutations, jusqu'à prendre une forme (presque) humaine (si, si). Alors se produit l'inimaginable. Après avoir infecté des millions de personnes, étendant son sinistre territoire, c'est alors que les organes infestés reviennent à la VIE. Une longue campagne commence alors ; les INFESTED ORGANS propageant le typhus, le SCRUB TYPHUS produisant de nouveaux organes... un cercle bien macabre, en somme. Aujourd'hui, personne ne renie les tristes mutations qu'a provoqué ce fléau : cheuveux poussant le long du dos, pilosité du torse, voix de cancéreux, surdité, surpoids, tremblement spasmodiques de la tête... toutes les pauvres victimes portent leur deuil en se vétissant de noir.
