Artist History
1988. On a cold winter morning. a boy woke up in a
strange place. A place with tall buildings and
crowded streets full of strangers. Strangers talking
some strange alien language in which the "r" and the
"L" seem to roll off their tongues. The boy was
gil. The place was Brooklyn NY.
Today, 14 years and countless songs later,
gil has somewhat adjusted.
gil is currently living between New York and
Tel-Aviv somewhere in the blue atlantic where he is
still making music for the masses.

Press Reviews
For the first 10 years os his existance. Singer/Songwriter
Gil Cohen called Israel home. The holy land is known
for many things but a thriving music scene isn't one
of them. It wasn't until the Cohen family emigrated
to Long Island that music began to exert it's magnetic
influence.
At age 13, Cohen picked up his first guitar, devoting
a graet deal of time learning his way around the instrument.
about one year later, something happened that would alter the
course of his life. The muse-that magical wellspring if
inspiration-found a receptive conduit in the teenage Cohen,
and the songs started to pour out of him. Eventually,
Cohen decided that a band would be the best platform
to get his music out, so he formed Faded. Even with
the amps turned up way past comfort level, the melodic
strength of his material was undeniable.
While it was an exhilirating experience intially,
after three years, Cohen dibanded the group to focus
on developing his skills. Persistance has paid off.
Today he ranks as one os the Island's most promising
artists...
