Artist History
Formed September 2001, as Jeerleaders, a grunge outfit. Spent the next months writing songs and developing a more punky, alternative pop-rock sound and writing original songs. Renamed Nice Girls Don't Explode in May 2002 for the first live show. Summer 2002 was spent playing another live show, writing more music, and in September renamed finally to The Collectibles. During the end of August to the beginning of September, the band recorded a three-song demo called "Away." |

Press Reviews
"Sometimes you guys like to stop in the middle of a song, and take a little break, and then you come back in RARARARARARARA!" -Paul Hudson, friend to the band.
"Last night's coffee house was a rocking success, featuring a whole host of school bands with music styles ranging from comedy to heavy metal. Special mentions go out to Local Shame who performed a very tight, focussed set (and who get louder and heavier every year!) and also to Felan Parker's [Collectibles] who seemed to have drafted in "Animal" to play drums and performed wonderful, angst-ridden ballads of love and confusion." -Nepean High School website |
