Artist History
-The individuals who make up Sickore aren't here to offer soothing melody - just noise that shreds your cerebral cortex, and that leaves you screaming for more, like the kinks you all are. Formed in the fading months of 2000, Sickore was conceived after its founders - Salman, Talal and Saquib - attended a concert that showed them that if they wanted anyone to play what they wanted to hear, it would have to be them.
After months of aimless jamming that started passionate fights amongst the group, Sickore finally meshed into an eventual solid mess, absorbing a new bassist by the name of Hamza Nadim, in time for their first proper gig. Playing alongside other newly formed bands, the young band stole the show and easily won over the hordes of sheep who found a new cause - the boys of Sickore. As is tradition in the Pakistani underground, covers were performed. The demented individuals chose, however, to mess with the heads of the confused masses by blasting out Sepultura, Six Feet under, and their own raging slab of sound, 'Bastard Nation.'
In October 2002, they added a new member to the mix...Farhan Omar, a huge black metal fanatic. This addition thus strengthened the macabre creation which is Sickore
Sickore does not solely play one genre or another, refusing to play the trend game, instead absorbing everything and regurgitating razor blade wails, screams and blasts. Relying heavily on their own creativity, the boys are currently working on more original tracks, with quite a reasonable amount at the moment, and more in the making...
Sickore also plans on going into the unexplored realm of 'desi-heavy metal', writing all their lyrics [as of now] in both Urdu and English, taking into account the influences that make up their cultural heritage.
Expect an ep to be recorded in December by the band, and a full length in the summer of 2003.
