Artist History MadRoach was born on September 15th, 1989, in St-Luc, Qc. The band was: MATTHIEU LAMBERT on bass and vocals, LUC MERCURE on guitars, and FRANCOIS NANKIVELL on drums. Before MadRoach, Matthieu and Francois were in a band called PRIMITIVE PSYCHE. Eventually, this band splitted up, but they decided to stay together and start over again. They developped the MadRoach concept for a whole year, while looking for a guitarist that suited their needs... On the 14th of September 1989, they met Luc (at McDonald's!!!), and the next day, MadRoach was born. After 10 months of hard and intensive work, they released their first collective effort, "The Quest For Power", in july 1990. Following that, they did a series of shows, while simultaniously working on new material. In july of 1991, one year after their first release, they went back in the studio to record "Afterwards..." which was released in September. This second tape reveals the world that was left by the MadRoach, 100 years after the fatal quest. All of this seen through the eyes of The Human, the only man who's been kept alive... Then, feedback being very positive, MadRoach continued to do shows, hoping to reach more and more people around the world. New material was written, the band expecting to release the conclusion of the MadRoach trilogy. In september 1993, one day prior to the recording session for their third release, the band decided to split up. R.I.P. MadRoach, September 1993.
