Artist History
It happened that in mid-2000 Liar G., who was playing the drums for a thrash/hardcore/metal band called "Kill Your Boyfriend"(and he still does it nowadays), asked his long time friend Ricky M. if he was interested on creating an almost-gothic rock band with him.
Rick had written several tunes in the past that he was going to put in trash because he was totally unable to find a band which could accept him for more than one week (bastards !! You're gonna die before Christmas !), so he temporarily abandoned the idea of being an Industrial one man band ("Too much work", he said) and agreed.
At that time Andrea The Man, ex member from the quite famous intellectual-rock-band "Bela Lugosi's Flower" was recruited as bass player.
The line up was almost complete: the guys just needed a keyboard player so Ricky asked his looooong time friend and piano genius Krist if he wanted to join the party. "I've never been on a band before",said KTK, and then he became the official keyboard player.
The four guys started working and then playing gigs at Spazio 211 (plus other veeery small places) which was (and actually is) also their rehearsal studio. Songwriting was going quite fast and harmony and friendship were all around,
but in Spring 2001 Andrea decided to leave the band in order to pursue his own musical interests, Liar said he was expecting it and Krist accused Ricky of being a totalitarian leader: it was the darkest hour of TFBP.
Our guys started searching for a new bass player but they were only finding people with no will to play (Torino is a town full of musicians, but they can be divided into just 2 cathegories: non-bass players and non-serious musicians)
when they decided altogether that Ricky would have become the "new" studio bassist for an unknown amount of time. Months passed with no relevant facts to report (bandmembers trying to kill each other..) and in 2002 TFBP decided to release their first demo.
Nowadays they have almost 11 songs in the closet (including the 4 we have posted here) and they hope one day they'll be able to make the world hear them.
Latest news : the song "Burning the way" is also in rotation on Gothic Radio (check out the New Acts channel) |
