Artist History
Matthew Kahler has been a favorite performer at Atlanta's Eddie's Attic since its opening years ago. He is an incredible musician with his undying energy, wacky humor, smooth vocals, and impeccable songwriting. His well-crafted tunes make listeners laugh, smile, and ponder. Alternately playing acoustic guitar and congas, his music ranges from thought-provoking ballads to high energy acoustic rock to hilarious improvs, making for a unique and entertaining performance with never a dull moment. In October of 2000 Matthew celebrated the release of his first CD in four years entitled "Out of the Blue." It was recorded and produced by Matthew's longtime friend and fellow Atlanta musician Shawn Mullins. Matthew also co-wrote the tune "Everywhere I Go" with Shawn which appeared on Shawn's October '00 release "Beneath the Velvet Sun." Eddie of Eddie's Attic commented, "I've known Matthew as a friend and talented artist for about 10 years. 'Out of the Blue' is, in my opinion, one of the best projects yet to come out of our community. Currently, Matthew is in the studio working on another release scheduled for fall of 2002.
