Artist description
IMPRINT - is a melodic hardcore band based out of PHILADELPHIA in which the diversity of the members is manifested through the music composed.
Although Matt, Brad, Harold, and Kevin grew up in the Lansdale area, and graduated from North Penn High School, each at some point, had chosen a different career and unique musical style/ preference.
Suddenly these paths converged in February 2001, and the resulting compositions are a fusion of: melodic, emotional, energized, heavy, groove oriented, and dynamically driven guitar riffs, drums, and vocals.
Each member of Imprint has devoted a significant portion of their life to the creation of music.
Matthew Johnson (vocals) and Brad Holstine (guitar) have been playing together for over seven years in a variety of local projects, resulting in many performances at various Philadelphia and Delaware Valley venues.
Harold Echols (drums) and Kevin Mooney (bass, vocals) in the meantime, have been playing together for over nine years, achieving regional success in the hardcore project Chine, including a summer 1999 performance at the Vans Warped Tour in Philadelphia, performing several shows at the legendary Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, and even opening for the popular Buffalo, NY, based hardcore band Snapcase.
As a result, Imprint combines diverse musical influences ranging from: Quicksand, The Deftones, Helmet, Tool, Alice In Chains, Snapcase, Bjork, Sevendust, Incubus, Faith No More, Primus, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and various others.
Imprint has achieved regional success in the suburbs of Philadelphia and is looking to increase their presence in the City of Brotherly Love.
Their growing popularity and rabid fanbase have enabled them to be featured artists in "Out On The Town" entertainment magazine and earned the band a performance at the Summer 2002 Vans Warped Tour at The Tweeter Center in Camden, New Jersey.
The prognosis for 2003 has yet to be determined, so stay tuned... |
