Artist History
Disciple. was formed in September of 2001 by John Burke (rhythm/vocals), Joe Stretch (drums), Brandon Reffitt (lead guitar), & Jason Benedict (bass). They were asked to play their first gig on January 12th 2002 in Agency Missouri, about a week before the show they decided to replace Jason with Dustin Johnson on bass. They did the show playing 5 cover songs & 1 original song entitled "Gates to Hell" with the name Death on Arrival. Soon after the show they decided to change the name of the band to Disciple.Their influences are Slayer, TestAmenT, Megadeth, Old Metallica, & Black Sabbath. They Recorded their demo titled "Divine Carnage" in early September & plan on playing shows in Kansas City. |
