Artist description
Casey Boyce is a young talented musician currently living in Kingston Ontario. Upon moving there eight years ago she braved the stages of open mic nights and began to realize an inborn need to write and perform original music. She is a woman of many talents, some including being an excellent cat owner, having lots of stars hanging from the ceiling, throwing great costume parties, and always having curry dinners and pink turkeys during the Spring Equinnox. She is also known for her voice, often described as a beautiful intense yet controlled instrument that makes people stop and listen. Her use of language is poetic and graceful without sounding cliche. A true poet at heart, she is bound to enthrall you with her seductive voice and sensual lyrical content. Not to mention she looks great in big black boots... enjoy.!

Artist History
Casey began singing as a wee girl , performing school songs for her grandmother and singing to the birds and mice outside. (her vocals changed their lives drastically and the birds stopped eating worms to take up a vegetarian diet, and the mice all learned to highland dance). In highschool she performed as Sandra Dee in the play Grease (a very moving performance?). She then moved to Kingston and went from open mic to doing full house shows at the Grand Theatre.
Somewhere in between all of that there is a great story to be told, of pink hair, big black boots, a cat named particle, and a strange obsession for an artist named ???? well we'll save that for another time.
Casey has played many venues including local bars, fundraisers, many street corners and living rooms. She was featured at Blue Skies music festival for their 25 year anniversary show and rocked the house with her earth chants sending shivers through the foundation of many souls. She has performed with a variety of warm and talented musicians, like, Spencer Evans(formerly of the Cowboy Junkies and Bloom), Linda Lawrence, Charlie Chiarelli(amazing harmonica player and story teller). She has also graced the stage with Sarah Harmer at the "Wine Women and Song" sold out fundraiser in 2000. |
