Artist description
The Lime Twiggs have a way of melting classical pop sounds with the pragmatism of late 70's New York punk. Their sound comes out like a multilayer sweet & sour pie with Mr. Buskell painting the scene with his sonic guitar antics.
Who says two guitars, bass & drums can't make a sound like a half a dozen electric chairs plugged into cellos at your daughters thirteenth birthday. I would never make any assumptions about this band, for once you think you have them figured out, they surprise you more than you can possibly imagine.
The Lime Twiggs have been flooring audiences with their power-pop inflected confections since April 2002, and are currently putting the finishing touches on their debut album. In the meantime, please feel free to download recordings from The Lime Twiggs live at the Velvet Lounge, from May 14th, 2002. |

Artist History
The Lime Twiggs were formed in January 2002, out of the ashes of previous Kim/Buskell combos "The Veins", "Same Day Service", and "Hank". Having answered an ad for prospective future rock'n'roll gods, Dave Meyer and Amrit Singh began learning the Kim/Buskell song catalogue, adding their own unique flashes and flourishes.
Soon, The Lime Twiggs began gigging in the Washington, DC area, honing their stage skills, and setting the stage for future stardom.
In May of 2002, Amrit Singh's life journey led him away from The Lime Twiggs, and to New York City. Undeterred, The Lime Twiggs have since brought in Hayden Clark on drums, to complete the lineup and add his unique talents on the drumkit. |
