Artist description
Prince of Cats (aka Colin Ready-Evoy) is a self-taught Canadian singer/songwriter currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Given the gift of a stadium-sized voice, Colin has been singing professionally(?) since 1990 and has developed into a fine and versetile singer ....the songs ain't bad either ;) Colin tries to balance the madness of life with with a generous sense of humour and faith in His Holiness The Dalai Lama and the precious teachings of the Buddha (and pot). |

Artist History
The kid's been around for a while; singing for bands in Toronto (confused psychedelic grungers Elation Wavepaint, bitchin' neo-jangly power-poppers Scarlet) and Calgary, Alberta (early-90's grungers, Meeting Marisa). He has now cut the apron strings, so to speak and is one his merry way to singer/songwrtier guydom. In this past hot and terrible summer in Toronto, Colin's been playing more or less exclusively solo with friends dropping by here and there. With the recording of a new EP he will be gigging with fresh new bandmates very soon. |
 |
Group Members
Colin and whover he can trick into gigging and recording with him. Most recently he recorded a session, which became Colin's first official solo effort under the name Prince of Cats, "GOLD KEY ep", with Pope Factory's Andre Skinner on drums at the Exhaust System in Toronto. |
