    Artist History
Grady and I have been jamming together ever since 1997. At first we were going to form a band that sounded like the Police/Sublime/311 and we wrote a few songs together under that impression. We clicked musically from the very first second that both of us plugged in. He finishes my sentences and I finish his. Being that both of us come from musical backrounds and have similar tastes does us well too. We'd probably still be playing in the terrible cover bands we were in if it weren't for each other. Anyway, Grady moved to Arizona for a year right after we recorded (I use that term loosely) a song (with a Spice One bass line) that sounded like Sublime should've recorded it. We lost touch for a while, but we called each other every once in a while. While he was out there I was racking my brain at home writing all of this reggae dub/rap stuff and he had just gotten into Cave In, a local hardcore band from Worcester and started writing stuff along those lines. He came back and introduced me to all of this stuff and BAM! we started Anomie, not even knowing it. We came up with 4 songs (Oh,Life, Motive to Kill, ...am, and ...pm) and recorded them all on my friends 4 track mini-disc home studio...they came out pretty bad. Grady and I then rented out a jam room in Peabody and began practicing 3 times a week until we came up with enough songs for an LP. 6 months later everything was ready, we re-vamped the old songs and wrote 4 new songs and they were recorded on the same 4 track under Fianna Records (my friend Dave)....they came out pretty bad but decent enough to get those ideas down. So..this brings us to last summer. We started building a professional studio in my Dave's garage, 32 track mixing board going straight to the hard drive of his computer. Unfortunately we ran out of money before we could get everything finished. Dave and Grady are currently working on a fundraiser to come up with the money for everything that's left :Carpeting, Foam pads for the walls, and Studio Pro for the computer and then we should be on our way to re-recording everything as well as the 7 songs I've worked on in the interim and songs that Grady has written as well. On top of that Grady and I also play in a fusion type of band with a friend of ours and we are looking to re-record all of the songs we did with that band as well as play some shows. Also, and this is a big also...WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DRUMMER AND A BASSIST, POSSIBLY SOMEONE TO DO ALL THE SCREAMING VOCALS AND BACKUP ON THE SINGING IF YOU ARE IN OUR AREA AND INTERESTED CONTACT AARON (ME). Later.
