Artist History Present singer, Peter, and guitarist, Fredrik, started to play in one of the rehearsal studios at highschool in 1997. They hooked up with bass player Jonas Hellman and drummer Joel Sundbom and started making songs shortly after that. The name, WHIRL, was actually just meant as a temporary name, just to have something to print on the posters for their first gig. Though, alot of people told them they liked the name, so they kept it! "It has a nice ring to it, eventhough it sounded a bit corny at first" says guitarist Fredrik Danielsson, who was the person that came up with the name in the first place. The history of the band is quite long and complicated, with members joining and quitting. Please refer to the bands own website (once it is up, anytime soon...)
