    Artist History
Originating in Sacramento, Ca Still Life Projector is a five-piece rock band that defies boundaries... As the city develops in shapes of skyscrapers and rows of houses, the bands of Sacramento have grown and some with noted success. Through relentless touring of Northern California and surrounding areas Still Life Projector has made it's debut throughout the valley. With definitive sound and an amazing live presence, these five artists have brought a fresh new sound to the often-polluted music scene. As the band prepares for the new album The Fallen, due out in early 2003 on 720 Records, we reflect on the evolution of this up and coming band... After inception and various changes the current lineup starting playing under the name Still Life Projector in early 2002. From the beginning front-man Jerry Reynolds had shown promise of a brilliant singer. He proved to have an expansive vocal range fueled by passion unseen by many. Together with the creative and unique styles of guitars and the dynamic force of the rhythm section they fuse melodies that leave a lasting impression... "We played in this hardcore band and we just had the desire to do something different", explains the singer Jerry Reynolds. "It's funny; I was playing guitar at the time and we were looking for a girl singer to change things up even more. Somehow I became the next best thing. So I tried out."... In less than a year of playing shows they had the enjoyment of sharing the stage with exceptional bands such as the Juliana Theory, Coheed and Cambria, the Start, the Noise Ratchet, Student Rick, Shortie, Dead Poetic, Stavesacre, and A Static Lullaby. The dedication and vigorous playing allowed the band to land a spot on the roster of the local based independent label 720 Records. Not long after joining the label they released the E.P. No Option For Denial which immediately sold an abundant amount of copies. Utilizing the elegance of Velvet Tone Studios, these recordings gave the band a chance to shine as studio artists. The album captures the intensity of relationships and the agony of loss... "Our songs are mostly about relationships and love," says singer Jerry Reynolds. "With love, usually you will have loss. My dad and his death had a lot to do with the way I look at life and what I write about. He made me realize that I have to follow my heart and take the long shot."... For this group of artists the road ahead is long and unknown but this band is prepared to meet their horizons. The next album The Fallen will be sure to send a message straight to the heart. Filled with ingredients that leave you with wonder, expect this next release to have a new diverse sound that will remain unequalled.

    Press Reviews
***RANT Magazine- Volume Four, Issue Nine, Sep. 2002 "No Option For Denial" CD Review..... "No Option For Denial", the debut album from Sacto's Still Life Projector, is a colorful, if short, demonstration of guitar-heavy, aggro-punk flavor. Frontman Jerry Reynolds epitomizes the sensitive torment of suburban-bred boys in his lyric, complemented immpressively by guitarist Kris Wright's creative melodic riffs. Each track blends heavy drum breakdowns with fast aggressive rhythms. It's apparent they are carefully constructed to be pleasing to the senses- you find you can't help mumbling along with the words or banging your head with the strong rhythms. Overall, considering the proliferation of affected emo-rock today, I'd say Still Life Projector has the raw talent and oppurtunism for lots of room to grow." -Annie..... ***RANT Magazine- Volume Four, Issue Twelve Dec. 2002- "Show Review"- Still Life Projector, EightFourSeven, Three Weeks Yesterday, April 6th... Scratch 8, November 16th..... "...Topping off the night was Sacto's Still Life Projector, and to be honest, I've followed these guys for a while, so I'm biased but, I think they kicked ass. Their energy was infectious from the beginning. Their heavy, pop-core sound was driven by hard, melodic rock undertones, and each song was aggressive, loud and full. Layered guitars and smashing drum breakdowns made the set flawless." -Annie
