Artist History
simian gibbet have been gigging consistently for
a number of years, with endless thanks going to
the infamous EV's of Croydon for their undying
support, and to the likes of youth organisations
such as Freeza and Threshold for whom we would've
never taken stage at such festivals as Pushover
(Battle of the Bands), Maroondah & Ashburton Festivals
plus many more district events. Therefore due to
these later listed events simian gibbet boast
quite a large under-age following throughout
Melbourne and it's suburbs. Simian are also proud
to have such venues as The; Metro (Goo), Espy,
Armadale, Greyhound, Punters, Corner
plus many more.
Apart from playing alongside such reputable acts
as Area 7, Game Over, Bison, Catwitch, The Shine,
Gellyfish (Aquahead) to name but a few,
Simian have won 2 district Battles which saw us
play in the state final at Pushover '98.
We also like to boast about our interactive
website (www.simiangibbet.com),
being hit almost 10,000 times since it's
inception in late '98. Mostly by our mums or
alternately our underage allegiance.
