Artist History
Many believe that artists - especially those that are particularly gifted - are born and not made. In looking at the musical talents of Emile Lambrev, one could easily make that case.
Beginning at 14 and continuing on to age 19, he displayed an uncanny ability to perform and interpret the challenging works of composers such as Liszt, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Shumann. As a youth, he gave an average of 10 recitals and concerts a year. He was the youngest participant at the Fifth International P.I. Tchaikovsky Piano Competition, held in the Soviet Union. But in his early twenties, Emile had an epiphany, discovering that there were no barriers between his heart and his fingers.
Deciding to branch off and grow in his art, he began touring Europe with the hit eastern European rock band, Signal. The band performed 40 concerts in 30 days, for an average of 6000 people per show. It was also at this time that a certain melody started circling around in his head.
In talking about his current effort, Nostalgic Dream, Emile's premonition on the project is almost eerie. During his tour with Signal, a tune started in his head...and it didn't go away for two years. Finally, he decided to write it down. That melody turned into his composition, Nostalgic Dream. Over a decade later -- with the help and inspiration of renowned producer/composer Emilio Palame (Peggy Lee,Chuck Mangione, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra), his composition became a reality.
In Nostalgic Dream, you can hear musical styles and elements from around the world. From classical and jazz, to blues and eastern European folk music, it's all there. Nostalgic Dream is a unique blending of different worlds and cultures.
In the end, it appears that Emile has a firm grasp on both his music and the direction of his future. He believes that he can move people with the melodies that he has worked so hard to blend together. He also loves to perform in concert and looks forward to touring and eventually would like to apply his talent to film scoring and composing. It seems that with Emile's enormous performing and composing talents, it is only a matter of time before his own Nostalgic Dream becomes a reality.

Press Reviews
"A collaboration between composer/pianist Emile Lambrev and producer/arranger Emilio Palame (Chuck Mangione),
this CD will sound like sonic bliss to those who would like to hear the lush...passionate themes of Yanni and John Tesh
taken in more daring directions. With name-brand input (saxman Eric Marienthal, others), this full length, ready to market
disc offers a variety of spirited themes infused at times with Lambrev's Eastern European heritage. Film scoring could also
be an avenue."
