Artist description “It’s a fucking rock show, damn it!” The above statement sums up how 13 ‘TIL does things 24/7. Just listen to any track on their EP ‘Happiness in Demonstration’, and in a matter of seconds the listener is reminded what makes rock roll. The band that hails from the St. Louis, MO has been hard at work recording an 11-track release at Four Seasons Media Productions (www.4SMP.com), St. Louis’s premier recording studio. The album tentatively titled To Be Continued will be out early fall. 13 ‘TIL’s music is unrelenting in it’s quest to dominate the memory of the audience – from the Townsend bombast of “New Song” to the melancholy of “Mellow Thing”, or the inspiring “Tower” – 13 ‘TIL shoots for making every song your favorite. Each song packs a well-polished, smash hit-making rock sound. Lyrically, 13 ‘TIL is sometimes very straightforward, painting a clear picture in a song, while at other times choosing to spread a thought over the course of a couple songs, enticing the listener to hear the other track to bring the thought into focus. Sonically 13 ‘TIL is dramatic, without being too epic in nature. It’s not abnormal to hear influences of major rock acts such as The Who or Queen in a track, with an honest popular modern rock sensibility like that of The Foo Fighters or Eve 6. The wall of guitar Kerry Rawe and rhythm guitar player Greg White provide is heightened by the ecstatic and energetic percussion of Josh Lagemann, and furthered by the smooth bass line delivery of Jake Jones. Vocally, 13 ‘TIL certainly shines in an industry deluged with Pearl Jam-esque vocals. Harmonies shoot straight to the heart and Rawe’s voice is undeniably powerful. Beyond their recordings, the band has enjoyed playing almost every venue in St. Louis, airplay on local radio, and building a strong fan base, which grows with every live performance.
