    Artist description
Ambient electronic musician primarily. My output depends entirely on what instrument I am holding, hitting or otherwise playing. My influences are varied, and therefore my avenues of expression are varied. If I'm composing on guitar, I tend toward somewhat complex and experimental arrangements. On drums and percussion, I tend toward polyrhythms and syncopated themes. If I am composing on keyboards, synths and related software, I tend toward a sort of compelling ambient soundtrack world that eclipses my other forms of output. This world is a real home to me. I've found that sound exploration allows for much more innate satisfaction. And this, in turn, allows for more listener satisfation. At least that is the intent.

    Artist History
I am primarily a self-taught multi-instrumentalist. I began my journey playing drums at the age of 12. After a few years of steady improvement, I was playing with chums from highschool. And then, on the road touring with various bands immediately after graduation in '84. In the interim, I had also acted upon the desire to learn to play electric guitar. This coincided with the Heavy Metal wave in the early-to-mid 80's, so I set about learning scales and modes and arpeggios. The well soon dried up, and I then turned to more introspective studies of the guitar. Fortunately, I was introduced to the wizardry of Michael Hedges and the wonderful world of unusual tunings. So, off I was discovering new vistas on a newly acquired acoustic guitar. Around 1993 or so, I began to yearn for the sounds that I remembered hearing in my youth on an unassuming radio program called Hearts of Space. I had been listening to it all throughout the 80's on a local public radio station. The digital age had rendered things too sterile and cold for my ears, and I heard the siren call of analogue. In my heart, I knew I had to investigate the machines that made those sounds. After picking up a cheap monophonic synth from the paper, I realized my instincts were completely dead-on. Since then, it's been a love affair with equipment, software and general improvements in technology.
