Artist History
The idea of The Rosebuds was formed in May of 2001 in Wilmington NC by Ivan Howard(from the band reverse) and Kelly Crisp(actress/comedian/writer and figure-model). We played our first show in 2 weeks from the time we decided to be in a band. We then asked our friend Jonathon Bass if he wanted to drum, and would'nt you now it, he said yes. Since then we have been fortunate to play over 50 shows with bands such as Crooked Fingers, Dismemberment PLan, Superdrag, The Loners,....to name a few. In August/Sept of 2001 we moved to Raleigh NC and had a line-up change. We found our current drummer, Billy Alphin in one of our favorite Raleigh NC bands The Ashley Stove. He jumped on board and has been rockin-it with us ever since. We have just released our first 7" record on Pidgeon English Records outta Raleigh NC, and are planing to release our full length debut in the winter of 2002. We have about one hundred more songs to record so we will be around for a while having fun..... |
