With The OEBs, Mike explores various traditional and non traditional genres of music. Artist History
The One Eyed Bishops originated as Mike Burro's Sloterdijk 'spin-off' project, but soon developed into a full blown band.
Although Mike has been performing with other core member, Jay Adcock for many years, The name One Eyed bishops was not used until relatively recently.
Mike and Jay have performed in various incarnations with a similar theme, including ARTIMUS ( The artist formerly known as Mike Burro).
Additionally, Mike originally recruited Jay, back in 1993 for his long defunt 'metal' band ANTHEM.
Mike has also performed folk music under the pseudonym of 'Simon Ian', primarily between the years 1995-96.
Burro continues to lead Sloterdijk into the future, and now The OEBs as well.
The band has become quite active in The UK, appearing on British indie labels, Hawkwind related festival performance, UK personnel, and membership in BURBS, (British Underground Rock Bands).
