Artist description
Empyrean (em-PEER-ee-an) is a four-piece rock band from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL. The band formed in high school in 1997 and has spent the past five years crafting a tight, tuneful sound. These guys write catchy, gripping rock anthems that contain infectious vocal melodies, big guitar riffs and a powerful rhythm section. Over the years, Empyrean has become notorious for their consistently explosive, memorable live shows and commanding stage presence. Leaving audiences singing the words long after the guitar feedback has faded, Empyrean continues winning over loyal fans everywhere they play. This band is not afraid to bring the rock. |

Artist History
After independently releasing their debut album, Life without Hell in 1999, Empyrean began building a loyal local following, which grew with the release of their six-song E.P., Beautiful Reality in 2000. The E.P. has sold over 800 copies to date, an impressive display for an unsigned band. With the release of Long Story Short, a new, 10-song album, Empyrean is in great position to make some big things happen. The band's strongest effort by far, Long Story Short is a hook-filled, crank-it-up rock record with meaningful lyrics, tight musicianship and well-thought-out arrangements that are testaments to their ever-growing songwriting prowess. With this new album, Empyrean continues to captivate listeners and audiences everywhere.
