Artist description
Composer/lyricist (name witheld to protect the guilty) M.R. has spent most of his professional life working in the Los Angeles area. Prior to moving to Southern California he spent four years as instrumental soloist with the United States Navy Band stationed in Washington D.C. Having completed his military tour, he relocated to Montana where he performed in clubs and on his own local television program.
While living and working in the northwest, Mr. R completed work on his first album project entitled (can't say it). Moving to California to seek a record label for the project eventually resulted in a master acquisition deal with 20th Century Fox Records. The double album set starred (some big guy, we can
t say his name either) and was Fox's largest musical acquisition of that year with an advance of $246,000.
The publishing of "xxx"(you know the rest) caused other entertainment companies to become aware of Mr. X's unique writing style. Landmark Entertainment was among the first to commission him to write an original (something). Over the years their collaboration has produced lots of stuff. The show (based on Merlin and Arthur legend), something else based on Wagner's Ring Cycle, and several other things. He was also nominated for Best Musical Director for his contribution to the national tour of (can't say that one either). Amongst his love of creating musicals, Mr. X also wrote and performed solely in his own comedy release entitled, "Dinner With Uncle G" which is currently in limited release. |
