Press Reviews
Stanislav Zabic, KLSU-FM, Baton Rouge, LA: "We know Tom from the excellent 'Starflower' release last year. His homegrown 1999 release, 'Stone Tablet', contains 8 very nice songs. Tom handles his guitars very well, and his arrangement ideas are quite original. The songwriting is impressive, and the one-man approach is admirable and natural." Toby Thomas, Medicine Park Recordings: " 'Can't Feel Sad' really stands out and sounds quite a bit like a Brian Wilson solo composition. I'm excited to have it in the Starflower collection. 'Dance With the Angels' is also powerful song that pulls at the heartstings." Richard Pedretti-Allen, Audio Synchrasies: " 'Elvis Was An Only Child' is a song that has popped into my head many times at very odd moments. I have long wondered how twisted E.A.P.'s life must have been. This song is a wonderful viewpoint of that stuff. And my 5 year old son really likes the instrumental [The Temple]!" Becki DiGregorio, Independent Artist (www.beckidigregorio.com): " 'Unfinished Song' is my favorite - psychedelic with cool chord progressions - right up my alley! 'Elvis Was an Only Child' and 'Can't Feel Sad' also have very cool arrangements and nice guitar work." |
