Press Reviews
Little Murders "First Light"
“It may be impossible to dislike the Little Murder’s First Light
-pure guitar-pop craft at it’s finest” Pre Amp
With band members boasting credits with Paul Kelly and Weddings Parties Anything, it's no
surprise that thes influences loom large on the
Little Murders third album. On tracks like "White Line/Black Day" and
"No Girlfriends No Drugs" singer Rob Griffiths shows a similiar talent for observational lyrics and melodic hooks"
Little Murders first single
"Take Me I'm yours/Things will be different"
on Au go go Records (available on 10,000 guitars/and stuff like that")
"the Little Murders record is one of the best things I've heard all year, from anywhere..I mean, it's sloppy as all hell and the drumming is off, and all that, but the feeling is there and I can't take it off my turntable. Great record"
Greg Shaw Bomp Magazine California USA
"sounds like early Who" Roadrunner
"brash rock and roll love songs" Ram
Little Murders 3rd Single "She Let's Me Know"
(available on CD "..and stuff like that"
"classic pop.single of the week"
"glorious sixties pop! hard driving guitars! whoa-whoa
choruses! excellent single"
“The classic pop riffs,
jangly guitars and lovestruck harmonies are still there...
essential for any pop fan” 8/10
Beat Magazine
“a wry urban storyteller. 100 drugs sets the tone, a grim tale sweetened by
philosophical humor which pervades all the bittersweet days to
follow.....it’s the turns of phrase that linger”
Rolling Stone
