Artist History
The Corda Brothers have been singing since they were babies in the cradle on through High School rock bands, studio work, etc. Since the early 1980's they have been entertaining at the coffee houses, bars, breweries, restaurants (and just about anywhere else they could plug-in in the tri-state area). The New York area was deprived for a few years while Bernie attended grad school at Boston College. When he returned the brothers started writing their own tunes in the early '90's and came out with their debut CD (produced at ESR studios in Port Washington)in 1998.The eight original tunes on the CD tap a mixture of genres including rock, folk, jazz and latin music. They plan to follow the success of their first CD with another disc to be released in early 2002. Look for previews on their website at MP3.com! |

Press Reviews
"The Corda Brothers manage solid, effortless (it appears) harmonies and distinctive sonic delights with bittersweet drifts and swirls abounding. (They) possess an appealing sensitive edge with their words slinging swagger. They are truly entertaining... - Blue Lou Margiore - Good Times (Sept 8 1998)"Among the disc's highlights is "In His Eyes", with vocal harmonies conjuring up the Dead's American Beauty. Also of note is "Be Here Now", revealing CS&N as a strong influence on the brothers." - Roy Abrams - The Inside Connection (Sept 1998)"Vinnie's woodwinds and Bernie's fretwork often beget a gently swaying Loggins & Messina-esque backwood, then they run like crazed schoolboys through thickets of swinging rhythms, world-inspired beats and folkish acoustics" - Ian D'Giff, Long Island Voice (Sept 1998) |
