Press Reviews
Subliminal Treaty write some of the best mind music in a decade.Their new release will cause semi-hallucinations in non drug users and full blown flashbacks to the rest. Sounds will swirl up from the mix urging the listener to go on the journey with them. Sounds will distort and mutate from one extreme to another. Almost entirely instrumental, they do use the twisted manipulated voices of an odd bunch though; Will Smith, Ronald Reagan, Dan Rather, Jim Morrison. Bjork provides the vocal for A New Hope, the disc's opener. A slight breath and mumble that became bliss in the hands of Dan and Eric.Their addiction to production is evident, every sound on the disc changes and morphs bar after bar, melodies expand and contract, the listener is always invited to explore new possibilities. The music is inspiring but not in an Enya kind of way. |
