Artist History
Singer, Ricky Alan, was born in New Orleans, LA. Ricky's family then moved to Jackson, MS. While in school, at a very young age, Ricky began teaching himself country music on guitar from listening to it on the radio. After discovering Ricky had talent as a singer, his family then got involved in backing him all they could.
At the age of 9, Ricky was singing in talent shows for schools, and performing outside venues around the Jackson area. At the age of 12 Ricky's family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Ricky finished his education and continued on with his musical career. He got himself booked into the Holiday Inn music circuit, playing in various locations around South Florida. During this time he made several television appearances and cut his first record under Malaco Records located in Jackson, MS.
After travelling around the United Stated playing different venues, Ricky finaly headed back home to Mississippi, where he still plays and records music.
