Artist description South Florida artist, Raiford Starke brings a unique style to the rock and blues guitar band genre. Part poet, part wild man; there is nothing quite like a Starke show. Blistering electric guitars, usually Silvertones and vintage amplifiers, give way to soulful acoustic ballads and back again. Rumor has it Raiford was born and raised in some place called "Starkansas", descending from a long line of rogues and hard living women. With roots in Texas, Nashville, D.C. and Florida, who can really say. What we know for now is that Raiford Starke currently hails from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida of his own free will (or should we say on his own recognizance.) Fresh out of the studio with his first national release entitled, Speak Me on Seminole Records. Raiford will be making the rounds and coming to a correctional facility near you.
