Artist History
Phaze's roots date back to 1970 in Skokie, Illinois, when drummer Chuck Heftman and guitarist Scott Samuels formed a band to play a Monkees song at a junior high school talent show. With the addition of their sometimes roadie, "Keyboard Carl" Taibl in 1971, Jerry Minetos in '72, and bassist Ed Yep in '73, the classic Phaze lineup was complete. The band reached a pinnacle when their song "Save Niles East" was released in an effort to keep their high school from closing. The band continues to accurately reproduce the sounds of the '60's and '70's with uncanny realism. |
