    Artist History
Matthew got his start by singing in the shower. After the neighbors moved away, he decided to go public and took advantage of his head-waiter position (the only waiter position) at Charlie’s Chili where he began humming during his graveyard shift (he hadn’t written any words at this point). To make a long story end, he eventually had his song, Sushi in the Kremlin, released in Germany as a single on Baierle Records and as part of the German version of the Mystic Pizza movie soundtrack on Polygram. The same song was released on three other recordings in the states but by record labels too small to be noticed without an electron microscope. A few years later in 1998, Matthew was one of three finalists in the Gospel/Inspirational category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest (out of 2300+ entries). With the prize money, he bought new windows for his house and truck, the shattered ones of which were the result of mail order vocal instruction. Realizing that his music was best listened to from afar, he promoted his tunes on the web. Sushi in the Kremlin was meant to be for children of all ages. The setting is an international potluck; the spirit is that of oneness. One of a Kind, known to most children as the Purple Underwear Song, is for children 6.75 years old on up, certain references of which should prove harmless (“Go ahead! Tell that motorcycle gang to get a haircut!”).

    Press Reviews
“...songs are both catchy and sophisticated in a way Steely Dan fans might appreciate.” --Keyboard Magazine, August ‘95 “...music defies categories, though it is pop/rock based and commercially accessible. Any label signing Matthew would probably put boosted credibility to its roster, and make the label some money...for a long time (yada, yada, yada...). --In Concert, 1988(?) page 20
