Artist History
Formed in 1992, inspired by the likes of the Orb, Shamen and the whole ambient scene. Issued first album Knees Up Mother Earth which was acclaimed by the likes of John Peel, NME and Select. Moved into a recording studio in Clapham where our neighbours were the Orb. Had to move out tho' because the smell of skunk was messing with our minds. Released second album The Planet Sweetand went to Amsterdam for a week. Played many shows in London, Cambridge and Brighton and other seedy fleshpots. New policy of only playing seaside resorts backfired when someone suffered turd poisoning stage diving on Brighton seafront. Third album, Les Elephants du Paradis followed and jolly nice it was too. Just released album number 4, John Barleycorn 2000 which has strong folk influences in its techno bones. |
