Artist History
With the onset of a new millenium, the members of Crone are about to celebrate a decade of survival in a genre of music that never settles on one sound. Formed in 1990, the first six years were trial and error, as they wrote and re-wrote original music while jamming their favorite cover tunes in local venues. The band cast off several appellations before deciding on "Crone". In 1997 they traipsed into Campbell Productions and cut their teeth on a 3 song demo entitled "Surface". Good reviews and steady demand impelled Crone to go for the real thing. Thus, the recording of a full length CD began in 1998. Hungry for the road, and starving for a better scene, Crone took an intermission from recording to journey to cities such as New York, Worcester, Mass., Cleveland, Nashville and Little Rock, among others...having shared the stage w/ several nationals such as Nothingface, Sam Black Church, Demonspeed, PissingRazors, Skinlab, Pro-Pain, Substance D, Drown, Clay People, Step Kings and Kilgore. Recording finally resumed, and in August, 1999 the 10 track LP "Psyclone" was born. At the same time, Crone joined forces with Asgard Music and currently seeks to infect more and more of this great country of ours! |
