Artist History O.k, if you feel like reading this, it's very long. The Sofa Kings started as this: in the 6th grade, Rene' Rosas, Richard Dubourg, Shawn Dugas, and Seth Freedman had a dream... A dream to compose music. After three years of simply dreaming, Richard got a guitar, Rene...well, he alread had and played guitar, Seth got a bass, and Shawn began to write songs. Due to...stuff, Rene left the band. The next year, Mandi Turner decided, "Hey, I'd like to learn how to play drums!", so the band was Richard, Seth, Mandi, and Shawn. Seth left the band, also due to...stuff. Rene came back into play as the bassist. Mandi wasn't the greatest on the drums,so she took over bass duties, and Rene took over drums. They went under the name FNDC played one show, then broke up. Rene and Richard regrouped. Enter Dave Falati on bass, and call the band Hear Say. Didn't work out. Enter Lauren Floyd on drums, put Rene on bass. Lauren, like Dave, didn't work out. Enter Daniel Grudo on drums. LOOKS LIKE A KEEPER! So Dans on Drums, Richard on guitar and vocal duties, and Rene on the bass. Little Ne Ne doesent have such a wonderous voice, so back comes Shawn Dugas to do backup vocals. And then shawn was doing lead again also. GREAT fun. Now, what could FURTHER improve the band? A second guitarist perhaps...yes...So then comes Ben Hillson, and the band name is changed to The Sofa Kings. Ben doesent work. Larry Constant is asked to join the band...he skeptically complies. Now he's in, for good. The rest is...not quite history, bue you get the point
