Artist History Originally begun in 1993 by Ken Patterson and Simon Thorpe under the name Sutton Hoo, The Simple Pleasures have remained a musical unit for almost eight years now. As Sutton Hoo, they have played countless gigs throughout the GTA and Southern Ontario, recorded both a self-titled album and the soundtrack for the underground film "Three Martini Lunch". They also served briefly as the backing band for ex-Glass Tiger drummer Mike Hanson's Earthboy solo project. Recently undergoing the new name change and a minor line-up adjustment, The Simple Pleasures are currently working on their first album release as The Simple Pleasures.
