Artist History
Reverse Theory was a band years in the making. Each
member had his own special experience with music growing
up and developed all the skills needed to make the band's
sound one that would turn the heads of many peers and fans
alike. One year prior to the six members coming together,
Rob had a vision of putting together a band that would get
noticed and from the start, this band did. He had already
recruited a vocalist, guitar player, and a DJ. They had been
searching for another guitar player and bassist to complete
the line up. On one faithful night, at the CD release party
of one of Houston's most popular bands, this came to be a
reality. Rob and Seth were handing out flyers at the show
when Rob met Raul. The two hit it off immediately and had
made plans to meet and discuss Rob's vision. At the same
time, one of Rob's high school friends knew a guy that was
a great bass player. He introduced him to Adam and he liked
what Rob had in mind and joined up. The band was soon rehearsing
and working on their first song. They worked three days a week
for an entire month on this one song. Three other songs soon
followed, but the band's sound wasn't working with the vocalist.
The band already had booked time in a local studio owned by the
band's sound guy to demo four songs, so the decision to let go
of the band's singer at such a crucial time was hard to do, but
the band did what was best for the band. The five remaining
members got into the studio and began cutting tracks for their
four song demo, but had no singer. The search was on the luck
having it, the singer of the band, Lower, which was the band that
was throwing that CD release party mentioned earlier was looking
for a new band to jam with. The band brought him in and he blew
everyone away with his voice. Gabe fit the band perfectly and was
offered the position immediately. All that was needed now was a name
for the band. Reverse Theory was chosen out of countless suggestions
and the band went from there. Unfortunately, the band developed too
many differences and eventually went their seperate ways, but the music
they created is timeless and should be shared with the world. I hope
everyone that comes across this page enjoys what Rob, Seth, Raul, Adam,
Sharif, and Gabe worked very hard on. Good luck to the former members
of Reverse Theory and may God bless you all. |
