Artist description
In a Toronto laboratory fitted with state of the art studio gear, singer/songwriter Doctor
Roman works day and night writing and recording his music. "I've had a relentless
desire to live in a studio ever since I was introduced to the concept of multi-tracking,"
explains Doctor Roman. While still embracing his formative roots, including Red Hot
Chili Peppers, Sting, Steely Dan and Soundgarden, Doctor Roman continues his own
path, pushing the limits of rhythm, harmony and wordplay.

Artist History
Beginning at the age of 12, Doctor Roman has been honing his multi-instrumentalist
skills with guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. Throughout this development, he has
mated his performance with increasingly sophisticated recording techniques. Starting
with a 4-track recorder, Doctor Roman began chronicling his musical ideas. He gained
live performing chops through several rock bands while still at high school. He went on
to study under highly-regarded music industry professionals while attending the Sound
Recording Engineering program at Fanshawe College in London, including Jack
Richardson, producer of the Guess Who and Peter Gabriel.
As Doctor Roman states, "Now, at 23, I have a studio in my apartment and I live for
music. With each passing day I gain more experience, desire and ability." Doctor
Roman comes by his musical ability honestly. His father is a Juno award-winning record
producer and his grandfather was a big band arranger and leader from the '40s to the '80s.
In a world where no one really knows what is going on, Doctor Roman wants to bring
his provocative lyrics, innovative rhythms and melodies to people searching for
something of substance.

Press Reviews
"Two More Inches... Pow! A soulful, Level 42-styled exploration of love gone sour. It tells the
story of deep romance thrown over in favour of a larger appendage. Not for the timid."
