Artist description
Scott Murphy is an independent musician living in Eastern Kentucky. While living in Germany in 99-00, he played pubs and managed to record an album, "vox modi", his first solo album. Previously he had collaborated with fellow East Ky. musician Glen Preece as "Room 253" to record the album "The Architects of Life". Glen is now in L.A. with the band N V (check them out on mp3.com). Scott has always been primarily a guitarist but open-minded and quite versatile musically. He has studied music theory in great depth and believes in music which is complex, emotionally intense and technically challenging. To this end, he has recently been exploring bluegrass, and an album may be in the works soon combining elements of bluegrass, celtic music, and progressive rock. |
