    Artist History
SCRATCH was formed in 2001 as a jam session among members of two bands (and one rookie!) Three members, Tuleigha, Tim and Timmy played together on a project called Hear No Evil for six years before joining SCRATCH. Rob and Daniel played together for two years in Thrown Money Band prior to SCRATCH. James played solo (in his living room) before being invited to rock with SCRATCH. The name SCRATCH was chosen because the group immediately began writing originals (never played a cover together). Someone once said "So, all your music is from scratch?" and thus we were named!
    Group Members
Tuleigha Pirie: Lead Vocals - Tuleigha has been singing since the age of 11. She studied choral and theatrical before hitting the bars as a sit in for local country music bands. She joined Hear No Evil (prior to SCRATCH) as her first rock & roll venture. She loves rock first and blues second. And when she thinks no one is listening she can be heard singing excerpts from Grease! Tim Albert: Keyboards - Tim began playing the piano at the ripe old age of 4. At 7, he learned to play the pump organ and moved on to the keyboard at 18. Tim is affectionately known by his members of the band and close friends as PhatBoy. Rob Bethea: Bass - Rob has been playing bass guitar for 30 years (you do the math...)He has been front and center for countless bands in that time and refers to himself as "an old head." During SCRATCH's studio work, Rob could most often be found sleeping in a chair in the engineering room. James Pirie: Acoustic Guitar- James began playing guitar in high school as a way to pick up chics. He had a brief battle with formal training at eighteen but gave it up to play it the way he likes it. James is a live music virgin and SCRATCH is his first lover. Timmy Price: Electric Guitar- Timmy has been playing for 15 years. He has an aggressive lyric style and has played in numerous hard rock bands including Hear No Evil. Timmy can be quoted as saying he learned to play guitar to drown out the voices in his head. Daniel Marchand: Drums- Daniel began banging on drums at the age of 15 to release nervous energy (never mind the nervous energy is still there). Daniel's background includes everything you can imagine! If he can hear it, he can play it. Daniel is definately SCRATCH's most loyal critic; ever ready with a resounding "That sounds like ass in a blender!"
