Artist History Conceived by David Yorick in the spring of 2002, "Mindless Insurrection" began as an escape from the standard process in witch electronic music is made. After local success in Toronto, Canada, in a few bands, "ZAR" "Dream Corrosion"(witch has continued in a new direction) and "Crave" (witch was disband to prosue musical differences) "Mindless Insurrection" was David Yorick's vision, the melding of so many musical influences that it could only be classified as "Industrial Rock".It were these varied influences (such as punk, cyber-punk, grunge,synth-pop,retro,industrial,70's glam, psychedelic rock, ect.) that always made David Yorick feel restricted in the expression of his art, witch is what prompted him to leave his past projects. "At first it just started as guitar riffs with a couple of verses thrown in just for feel," says David. "Then as the songs gained structure, they would invoke powerful emotions and vivid imagery,at witch point the lyrics would just come to me. Then I would complete it by adding synths, drums, samples, and other sounds and noises to enrich the feel of the songs and help draw out the messages woven into the music". "Mindless Insurrection's" music is both powerful in music and in message. The melding of so many different music styles has allowed "Mindless Insurrection" to creat a whole new style of music , one that will please many different jeaneries of music lovers!
