Artist History BIO James “Slumlord” Reese Born in New Your City and raised in Philadelphia James “Slumlord” Reese is the eldest of six children. He has been plotting his course towards rap/hip hop lyricist since the tender age of 12. Following in the vein of many notable Philly hip Hop artists. He always knew that becoming a rap music artist was his destiny. He has sharpened his skills by performing with major artist such as; LL Cool J and Busta Rhymes as opening act. Slumlord is also an accomplished song writer he is co-writer of “Da Habit” a song performed by label mate Naeemah Harper, of which was #1 on Broad band’s Top Fifty play list. In addition to that Slum has written several other R&B songs. Slumlord is not just a Hip Hip/Rap artist, he is an excellent songwriter. Slumlord's first single "MOVE OUT" debut on Billboard Magazine’s Broadband Top Fifty Chart at #4, and he received ARTIST BUZZ his first week out. The "MOVE OUT" video is getting added out of the box and will be the FEATURED CLIP OF THE WEEK in URBAN NETWORK magazine. Versatility is the key to Slumlord's success as a Hip Hop artist; his lyrics always tell a story that comes from a chapter of his real life. In addition he is now writing novels, his initial work is titled; Honor Among Thugs. He has also started his second book, titled; Blind Rage.
